As part of the 48-Hour LAMDA Film Festival, which is a fast-paced competition launched in partnership with the production company RD Studios, emerging filmmakers were challenged to create a short film in just two days. Participants could enter in teams of up to eight, with the chance to have their work screened to a live audience and reviewed by a panel of esteemed industry judges.

Last Year, I had the chance to take part in the LAMDA Short Film Challenge, a fast-paced
project where our small crew of just six people had 48 Hours to create a short film from scratch, all while following specific creative guidelines provided to us.
A good friend of mine directed the film and entrusted me with producing the project, as well as assisting with sound. It was a big responsibility in a tight time frame, but I was eager to take it on. Within those 48 hours, I secured all the equipment we needed, completed the necessary paperwork, organized a small catering for the team, and helped ensure that post-production ran as smoothly and efficiently as possible.
Amazingly, we managed to shoot and fully edit the film, including a solid colour grade within the two-day deadline and submitted it on time.

While our film didn’t make the top three, we were all incredibly proud of what we accomplished in such a short period. It was a true testament to our teamwork and ability to adapt quickly under pressure.
I’m so thankful for the team I worked with and for the trust they placed in me throughout this short experience. It reminded me how much can be achieved when you have a dedicated team by your side!
